We thank the public for the positive response to the Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) pilot since the launch of the RecycleNSave initiative on 31 October 2019. As of 31 Dec 2019, over 1.2 million containers have been deposited in total.
As part of the trial to evaluate the public's attitudes to recycling, F&N Foods and the National Environment Agency (NEA) will be adjusting the incentives of RecycleNSave to $0.20 per 20 containers with effect from 10 January 2020.
In consultation with our partners, the RVMs launched last year will also be relocated to different locations to reach out to more users/residents, and provide for more open spaces to ease congestion and improve user experience. The new locations will be updated on www.recyclensave.sg/locations/.
We will continue to work with stakeholders to review the ground results, and adjust the operations and incentive system of the initiative as required.
F&N and NEA hope that households will continue to recycle more and recycle right so as to do their part for the environment.
